Wendy Doolan, the famous LPGA golf player, is pleased to announce her support for Folds of Honor, a non-profit that provides scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members.

“I am so excited to announce I’m playing golf in support of for Folds of Honor! I look forward to seeing how many scholarships we can support in 2019, with hopes of growing this this every year beyond 2019. Will YOU join me today?” says Wendy.

Wendy Doolan has won many laurels through her amateur and professional golf career. Wendy is now equally proud to support the mission of Folds of Honor through her current golf related engagements. As part of the initiative, she will promote the cause on her official website and social media presence, and donate 5% of the proceeds from her golf course activities in 2019 towards scholarships for the children and spouses of military heroes. Wendy will also be seen carrying a Folds of Honor golf bag during professional events.

“I met Tony Biata, VP/Patriots Golf Day, Folds of Honor at the PGA show. Tony explained to me the mission of Folds and the results of so many of the scholarships they have been able to provide to the children of fallen and disabled soldiers, and it was like a light switch being turned on. I could feel the passion I used to have to play golf come back as I realized that I could help children of fallen and disabled soldiers by playing Tournament Golf,” says Wendy.

Wendy is a passionate golf coach, and was in search of a cause to continue playing tournament golf. The opportunity to support Folds of Honor connected with two of her passions. She became an American citizen in 2013, and wished to show how grateful she felt to the American servicemen who defended the land of freedom and opportunities.

Since 2007, the Folds of Honor has carried forth this singular, noble mission, which is to provide educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service-members. The non-profit offers a Children’s Fund and Higher Education Scholarship program. The funds fill in the financial gap of over a million dependents affected by war.

Wendy has been ranked as the No. 1 Australian Woman Golfer by the ‘Australian Golf Magazine’ in 1991-92. She began playing golf in 1983 and won several titles from the local to state and national level. She turned professional in 1991, and won the Australian Ladies and Symetra Tour. She was the first Rolex First-Time winner at the 2001 LPGA Champions Classic, and went on to earn more titles.
