Nov 19, 2018 – One Million Dreams recently launched their unique app while they were featured at Techstars Startup Week 2018 on the 24th of October, 2018. The launch featured over hundreds of downloads that day, with enthusiastic users hurrying to find try out the application.
On the Dream, App users identify their dreams, as well as the actions and timelines for achieving them. On the dream app’s dashboard, several categories of dreams appear and are shared in a feed where dreamers inspire one another, like, comment, and provide the connections that help make dreams real, creating a community, and a world of dreamers and doers. Within one’s own dream profile, the app alerts and notifies users reminding them to take action which helps hold oneself accountable for their own progress and success.
Since its inception, the ‘One Million Dreams’ application has not disappointed and have even exceeded expectations. The app has two major components; the ‘Dream Profile,’ and the ‘Social Component.’ The ‘Dream Profile’ features on the app are robust and include alerts that keep users engaged and on track, while the Social component is organized into categories of Dreams and allows users to like and comment on each other’s dreams, with the crowdsourcing the mentoring and the needed connections that activate and advance dreamer efficacy.
These two major components both play their role in the One Million Dreams apps’ sole purpose of improving lives and communities and building a world of dreamers and doers. The mobile application, or SaaS version of One Million Dreams, is initially being released as a freemium product, with plans for a subscription (monthly fee-based version) product to be released in 2019.
Developers of the app are also currently working with educators and employers, and several professional organizations to deliver 1MDreams pilot programs as well as speaking engagements to onboard new communities of dreamers.
