MIT Startup, Plain Jane, Creates Way To Remove The Smell From Weed

October 26 02:10 2018

In an attempt to replace tobacco with hemp, Plain Jane today announced the formal introduction of their Plain Jane hemp cigarette product line. The start-up firm is now shipping packs of ultra-smooth (reduces coughing), reduced smell hemp cigarettes to distributors and retailers nationwide.

Duane Dennis, CEO and his partner Evan Marshall, met at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and developed their revolutionary ‘plain curing process’ while in college. “We discovered a method of curing that produces an end product that is smooth smoking, reduces coughing, as well as taking away that identifying weed smell,” said Dennis. “Of course you’re still burning something but now you can smoke without smelling like weed.”

“The initial reactions to our new products among our target demographics are very positive to date,” says Dennis. “Hemp cigarettes with CBD are safer than tobacco cigarettes, non-addictive, smoother; and, provide users with a welcome sense of calm, serenity and pain reduction. Unlike its THC cousin, CBD is non-psychoactive and federally legal. We hope to one day entirely replace the tobacco counter with our hemp-based products.”

Plain Jane eight-count cigarette boxes retail for $10.99/pack, and the 2ct boxes retail for $2.99. Packaging is simple, consistent with the firm’s values and image, but effective – and entirely compliant with all Oregon state regulations. Eight count boxes even come with stick matches, so users are never without a light.
